Mural at Te Awahou Nieuwe Stroom

At last!! The mural on Te Awahou Nieuwe Stroom in Foxton by Jan van der Ploeg has finally been installed and was opened today by the Minister of Diversity. The bold abstract perfectly extends the interior concept of the building by representing Maori and Dutch graphics and colours and suggesting the open flow from Main Street towards the river, and the fluidity of weaving which has been such a part of the history of Foxton. Very exciting!
